I am suppose to help plan a wedding shower. does anybody know any games that we can play?

i have never even been to a wedding shower. so I dont even know what regular things you do at one is. And there is going to be some older family there and they are very big bible lovers so no nasty games please.

Buy a whole bunch of cheap toilet paper and pair everyone up. They have to take turns making wedding dresses for eachother out of the toilet paper. (By wrapping it around your clothes to make a top and skirt, tear off pieces and make toilet paper flowers to attach, draping peices over your head for a veil, stuff like that.) It's really fun! Then be sure to take pictures of everyone in their pretty new dresses! (The bride gets to pick whose dress is the best!)

Another fun game is to ask the groom a whole bunch of questions about the bride and their relationship (Such as "what's the bride's favorite color? what did you do on your first date? How many kids do you want to have? What is the groom's favorite food? What superhero would he like to be? etc.) Write them all down and then ask the bride the same questions at the shower. The guests write down how many they think she will get right. See how many she can get right. If she gets one wrong she has to put a piece of chewing gum in her mouth, so if she gets a lot wrong, she's trying to talk with like 10 peices of gum in her mouth! It's really funny.

  3. One game I love for by bridal party: knitting. So, we choose some of my favor color and knit the scarves, little hat, little booty. During the time, we can talk and have fun.

  4. Go to http://www.bridalshowerfavors-weddinggifts.com there are some nice ones on there. Usually you eat finger foods (veggie trays, mini sandwiches, pretzels, chips, special cake, etc.), play a couple games (make sure to have prizes for each one), watch the bride open presents, and then clean up. Another great and helpful game is to buy a pack of thank you cards with envelopes and have each person address one to themselves. These will be used by the bride later to thank her guests for coming and gifts. During the party every once in a while have the bride pick one of the envelopes out of a hat and give that person a prize.

  5. Try bridal shower bingo. It's just like regular bingo but the guests fill in the board ahead of time and then if the bride to be opens the gift they cross it off. Buy a few cheap prizes (like scented candles) for the first couple of winners.

  6. There is always one simple game.. especially if there are going to be many family members there.. The game is who knows the bride best. You make up a list of questions about the bride and groom, and see who knows the most about them. Questions can include their birthdays, when they met, how they met, where they plan on living, their wedding date, their wedding colors, how many children they want, their dream house, and so on. Hope this helps.

  7. I went to one where we played a game where you bring in a bunch of old mens clothes and stuff to dress up with. You form teams and they each need to dress up a "husband" for the bride. The bride picks the best one and that team gets a gift. You could also do the video with the guy answering questions and the bride has to try and match the answer. It can turn out pretty funny.

  8. I was just at a website looking through their links and they actually have a site there for shower games. I can't believe you just asked for that. Go here http://advancedvideo.50webs.com

  10. My bridesmaids cut out pieces of construction paper and put yarn through it to kind of make a necklace. Then they passed one out to everyone and put pens on the tables. The guests were supposed to write down any advice they think I needed, then come up to me and read it to me as they put it around my neck. Then later I read them outloud. That way I didn't have to read the crass ones, just the okay ones for family to hear. I loved it! :)
