How do I handle wedding plans during an interview?

I recently got engaged to be married next year in September. I’m currently job-searching and wondering what to say if an interviewer notices my engagement ring. I don’t want to not be hired based on the date of my wedding. How should I answer?
Why would it matter? Next year is far away. You will be fine.

You could say you haven’t set a date yet. But to be honest a good company won’t ask…
