i feel unwanted and unappreciated?
September 28, 2009
so my dad is in jail right now for 32 years and he was like my best friend i told him everything but now i’ve been keeping all of my emotions in and i asked my mom when we was going clothes shopping and she told me to tell my broke dad to take me because she is planning for her and this guys wedding so now i have to use my money i was saving to get my school clothes it seems as if she just doesn’t care and i do everything for her and my ex boyfriend recently came back into my life wanting me back and i told him we could start as friends and now i have developed feelings for him again and he doesn’t even care or notice it i told him how i felt too but he just ignores it like he just wants attention from me and that’s it.i just really miss my dad and wish he was here to guide me through everything i don’t like trusting alot of people because so many things have come up where it leads me to feel unsure with trusting anybody . and when im out with my friends i never show how much i am hurting inside because i don’t want anyone feeling sorry for me..i just need someone to give me advise and i don’t want to go to a therapist because i just don’t trust them to tell everything to and also i’ve started drinking my moms liquor i know its not good but i feel like that and music take me away from the pain that im in it releases it all into another world as if reality is just a dream and that’s how i want it to be im not addicted to it or anything but it helps with the stress and pain and i don’t want to be stressing at such a young age and i told other people in my family what i am going through but it doesn’t seem to reach out to any of them i don’t know what to do or how to feel more appreciated
I know how you feel, my dad is in jail too,he is in there for murder, and I miss him so much, I was forced to move to another country across the world, I lost everything, my giant house, my cars, my maids, my driver and no, I’m not lying. First of all, the best way to keep yourself from feeling this way is just change whatever is making you depressed, if its your ex just get him out of that way, I know you have feelings for him but if he is you "Ex" then its gotta be for a reason that is did not work out, so screw it and move on. And it helps talking to your friends, I crashed when my dad was put into jail, but through it all my friends helped me. You have to put down the liquor it doesnt do any good to be depressed and drunk, just get some anti-depressant pills. Well if you need to talk, you can talk to me.
Wedding vow renewal Song help?
September 22, 2009
Ok so my wife and I had a really rocky time this past year. We were on the brink of a divorce, luckily I had a very good mentor to guide me through the process of rekindling our marriage. Anyway we never had a real wedding. when we got married in 2003 we had to do it at the courthouse because of a short notice deployment to iraq. We were already planning to have a big wedding but we had to move our wedding up 6 months. When i got back from deployment the real wedding just never happened. Now that all this has happened we are renewing our Vows, but im giving her the wedding she deserves. my question is what would be a good "first dance song" that would touch on our rekindled love for each other?
Hi. I’m a military wife. Me and my husband are renewing our vows for our 10th wedding anniversary. Our song is "Insatiable" by Darren Hayes. Here is what I suggest: Find a Genre (type of music) and artist ie: rap, country&western, opera, jazz, r&b, classical, 70′s etc, and go from there. One of my favorite artists in the world is an artist by the name of Keith Urban. He sings one of the most romantic songs I have ever heard. I hope this helps you get started.
Here is the link to the video: http://www.cmt.com/videos/keith-urban/424802/only-you-can-love-me-this-way.jhtml
BTW: Don’t let anyone on this board tell you that you can’t have a dream wedding, because your already married. You bothdeserve the wedding of her dreams. It’s tough when your in the military, and you plan something really special, and it all falls apart at the last minute. Unfortunately for us, we don’t have the luxury that civilians have.
One last thing~ Thank you so very much for serving our country, to keep our freedoms free!
I hope this helps.

I’m getting married in January next year. This is an inter-cultural wedding, I’m an Indian and he is american.?
September 20, 2009
I’ve no idea other than what I read in bridal guides about american weddings. Could you please suggest me some altar decoration, guest book and cake table decorations etc. Is it ok if my mom wears a saree and mom-in-law a dress? I’m planning to add some elements from hindu wedding to make it unique and sort-of fusion like:
1.Carrying a brass lamp instead of bouquet.
2. Seven cirles around fire (the same lamp, I’m going to carry to altar) for our vows
3. favors from India
4. Crystal Bindi and Bagles with white gown
I’ll appreciate any suggestion.
yes your mom can use a saree and fmil a dress
alter just some nice flowers not to be mean kinda like the funeral type and one long one that goes on the alter kinda like this
http://www.flowerbarn1.com/Wedding/CWF6621Large.jpg
ask the location that u are doing the wedding if you can transport the flowers or they have it as a donation some catholic churches require the flowers to stay for what reason i dont know. that way something like that can be used on the buffet or head table.
cake table i would have a small table large enough for the cake and have the cake cutters on the side
What goes into a military wedding?
September 18, 2009
My fiance and I are planning our wedding and he is in the military. We bought a planning guide but doesn’t have a military section. What goes into a military wedding that isn’t in a regular wedding? We’re a little confused.
There is a little more etiquette type things involved and, of course, some regulatory type considerations.
If he wants to wear his uniform it MUST be a formal wedding – because dress uniforms are only for formal (tuxedo appropriate) events. If he chooses uniforms and military attendants they may do a sword/saber arch depending on the branch at the ceremony or entrance to the reception hall.
If it’s on base you usually have the base chaplain do the honors and invite his CO with a seat of honor.
Off the top of my head that’s what I remember from the wedding planner class I just completed. If you want more info, please send me a private message. Plus I spent 21 years working on a military base.
Congrats & best wishes.
