Save A Fortune Planning Your Wedding

January 17, 2009

Would you like to have a beautiful wedding but also save tons of money?

Here’s how you can have a gorgeous and luxurious wedding under $10,000!

Wedding will be one of the greatest thrills of your life. Trust me! I’ve recently done it. Imagine that you’ll be the center of attention of the most beautiful event. Not only that everybody at your wedding will envy you and talk about it for years to come.

But unfortunately, planning a wedding can stressful to many brides. It’s the most important day, there are hundreds things to manage and everything has to be in sync.

The good news is that it doesn’t have to be! All you need to do is eliminate the following 3 major wedding obstacles. Once you overcome them, wedding planning will be fun and exciting.

According to Hallmark, going over a budget is the single biggest worry for marrying couples. It’s been estimated that about 80% go over budget. Forgetting something important and boring wedding are the next biggest issues.

When I was planning my wedding, I came across this book called “Amazing Wedding Planning” and it changed everything for me. It had everything that I needed to make my wedding beautiful and under $10,000. I can’t write exactly how I did it step-by-step. But I highly recommend this book. I read several other books before but this book had the best information by far.

Here’s where I bought the book.   Click Here

I had to pay $39.95. But it was well worth it. I saved at least $1000 on my wedding dress alone using one of the information from the book. I could’ve saved a lot more if I have known the information sooner.

It also had wedding managing kind of software which I think is better than the book itself. The software was super easy to manage. I don’t know how I could’ve gone through my wedding without it.

Enjoy your planning!

Wedding Planning Timeline – Wedding Planning Guide

December 31, 2009

Click Here – http://getting-married.drbproducts.com/ You CAN Have A Fantastic Wedding That Exceeds Your Dreams While Preparing Yourself For The Beginning Of A Wonderful Marriage That Will Last Happily Ever After!

I can say that with confidence because you are reading this letter. That means you are only a few minutes away from learning the best possible way to make your big day an event to remember for a lifetime.

Weddings should be wonderful. They rank among the most special of occasions. There’s nothing as heartwarming and meaningful as watching two people in love share their appreciation and devotion for one another.

There’s something so precious and beautiful about their willingness to share those feelings with friends and loved ones, too. Weddings should be beautiful and happy days.

Too often, they are nothing short of chaos. People running this way and that. Arguments brewing (if not erupting). Things don’t go off as planned. Feelings are hurt. That storybook day the couple has dreamed about turns into a bizarre nightmare.

Wedding Planning Timeline

To make things worse, all of that nastiness often occurs right on the heels of months of stress and pressure. What should be smooth planning process turns into a months-long battle of wills and a series of misunderstandings.

It can get even uglier, at times, after the ceremony. Too often, new couples haven’t done the right things to prepare for their new marriage. They run right off the aisle and into problems.

There are people who have absolutely marvelous weddings. The planning isn’t even mildly annoying–it’s fun for both parties. The ceremony goes off without any real difficulty. Those first months of matrimony are nothing short of bliss.

wedding planning Timeline

I can guess which version you prefer! Your probably at least a little worried about whether you’ll be able to pull this all of successfully. I don’t want to be negative, but your worries are well-founded. Thousands of couples have horrible wedding experiences every year.

You see them on television. Brides screaming and yelling at everyone within earshot. Disinterested grooms who just want the whole thing to be over and who aren’t able to enjoy what should be one of their life’s highlights. It’s disheartening to see so many people waste such an amazing opportunity.

Fortunately, not everyone has that kind of negative experience. What separates the couples who have great weddings from those who agonize through their own public horror movie?
That’s a good question. So, You’re Getting Married was written to answer it.

Wedding Planning Advice?

December 7, 2009

I got engaged a couple of months ago, the wedding will be in about two years. I know its still early, but I was wondering if you had any advice of things such as:

Guest list templates
Planning guides/time lines
Save the dates
When to buy the dress
etc.

or websites that you found helpful (I am already register at TheKnot.com)

I’d get a subscription or two to a bridal magazine. Doesn’t really matter which, they are all about equal. (Don’t buy off the rack, you’ll pay $12 for a year if you subscribe and $7 off the rack for one).

Then you can read and tear out pages of things that you like. That way when you are ready to sit down with vendors and start planning/booking you can show instead of explain your vision.

And all of the mags have checklists and suggestions and stories for ideas.

Theknot.com is a good site, i’m registered there too but google is a brides best friend. Seriously, think of something you want to see and google it, you’ll get 100 choices to look at. :)

As for the guest list, go w/ the knot. Fill in the person, a/b list, thier guest/spouse names, address, e-mailes, etc. Then you give your mom and your MOH of the password so they have all the same info available when they plan your shower. And it’s all exportable into excel if needed. I found the knot to be very helpful with this part of the planning.

As for save the dates, until you book a venue I wouldn’t send them out. But google it for ideas. You can do them thru invitation places, photo places (snapfish.com) or you could do like i did and e-mail out your knot.com website. In the back of most magazines they have cards where you check off for free booklets on the stuf you want. Send in for the invite catalogs, most of them have save the dates.

Etiquettes for Brides Before the Wedding

November 12, 2009

Etiquette is a guide for behavior, not a law. Use bridal etiquette as guide, do not adhere the rules blindly, as each family and situation is unique and apply your common sense whenever required.

Etiquette to register

Registries are a great way to let people know what sort of things you would like as wedding gifts. But gifts are not mandatory for the guests to bring. Never demand or ask any guests to give you a specific thing.

The maid of honor (bridesmaid) usually throws the bridal shower, which also includes the bridal shower themes. She can be the bride’s relative or friend. If there is more than one bridal shower, each shower would have a different hostess.

Bridesmaid’s etiquette dictates that the maid of honor has some important duties to perform such as-

  1. Hosting a bridal shower
  2. Attending all prenuptial parties
  3. Helping the bride in the weeks of planning before the ceremony
  4. Helping the bride to pack her luggage
  5. Giving the bride moral support
  6. Assisting the bride wherever she needs
  7. Witness and sign the marriage certificate after ceremony.

The bridal shower guest list

Bridal etiquette says all those invited to the shower should be on the wedding guest list. It is a poor etiquette to invite someone to the shower and exclude her from the big day itself. The guest list should include-

  1. Mother of the bride and groom
  2. Grandmothers or great grandmothers of either side
  3. Cousins, aunts
  4. Bridesmaids
  5.  Friends of the bride and their family
  6. Female colleagues of the bride

Etiquette to send an invitation

Each person invited should be sent with a separate invitation and it should be done about a month before the party. The invitation card should include-

# Bride’s name

# Date and time of the bridal shower

# Address/venue

# Phone number of the hostess

# Map or direction to the exact location

You must take proper care regarding the invitation wordings.

Etiquette to play games

Playing games help guests to interact with each other. In fact, bridal shower games are great ways to let your guests get to know each other and know more about the bride and groom. It is usual to give small gifts for the winners of the games played at the party.

Etiquette to write a thank you card

A thank you card should always be handwritten.

Thank your friends for the parties and the showers that they have arranged for you.

Thank your guests for the gifts that you have received.

Write your new address on the thank you cards.

This thank you notes should be sent within one week of the ceremony. This is the only way of telling someone who has given you a gift of how much you appreciate it.

Finally, bridal etiquette means being sure to include the wedding party and the mothers of both bride and groom in shower in some way. Ask each person to take some responsibility to make the occasion a memorable one.
